A Month of Thanksgiving: Family
Updated: Nov 17, 2020
Hey friends! Since 2020 has been one rollercoaster of a year, we need thanksgiving now more than ever. Every day of this month I'm going to share one thing I'm thankful for and a Bible verse! Happy first day of November, and first day of Thanksgiving!
Day 1: Family
I know, I know. It's the most cliché thing to be thankful for, but I am so thankful for my family. I was talking to my Meme the other day about how close both sides of my family are, and how I couldn't imagine being in a family that constantly fights.
I'm thankful for grandparents for everything they do for our families. I'm thankful for their servant hearts, their unconditional love, their wisdom, their cooking, and how they hold our families together. I'm also thankful that Granny's surgery went well last month.
I'm thankful for my parents. They raised my best friends, give the best advice, plan the best trips, and made sure we always had everything we needed and wanted. I'm thankful for the days they spent hauling us to practice, the forgiveness when we messed up, and their constant support. Thanks for letting me live my dreams at MSU and move home in the midst of a pandemic, even though I swore I would never be back here.
I'm thankful for my sisters. They are my absolute best friends. I don't know where I would be without them by my side. Thanks for the constant laughs, texts, and memories. I wouldn't want 2 other built-in best friends!
I'm thankful for my niece and nephew. These two know how to keep you entertained and make you laugh. Thanks for the days spent playing nerf wars, going to the nail salon, and making lots of cupcakes. I can't wait to make so many more memories with Hallie and Luke!
I'm thankful for my aunts, uncles, and cousins. They know how to have fun, how to listen, how to give (sometimes unsolicited) advice, and always put family first. Thanks to my cousins who have been my best friends from the beginning (looking at you Kodie and Kristin). Thanks for all of the laughs, VBS fun, and making sure there has never been a dull moment in dirty Santa.
I'm thankful for my entire family and cannot wait to spend the holiday season with every one of you!
Thanksgiving Verse 1:

Edit to add: Sweet Rosie chewed my laptop charger, so this series will now be 4 posts instead of 1 per week. I'm sad that it couldn't continue as planned, but excited to share what I'm thankful for with you all! Thanks for following along.
